What is an autoresponder?

Simply put -- an autoresponder, which can also be referred to as a mailbot, autobot, infobot, automailer or email responder, is a computer program which can automatically send a reply to a requester by email. There are generally two types of autoresponders. There is a single message type which will send a single response when the requesting person sends an email to it. There are also multiple response autoresponders, such as those offered by 123Response.com, which can send the initial response and up to 51 followup responses, all automatically. Autoresponder documents and messages can now be sent in either text or HTML format.

Autoresponders work for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. And, when someone requests information from one of your autoresponder addresses, it usually arrives in the requester's email inbox within minutes.

Are the length of my outgoing messages limited?

No. We do not limit the size of a message which you can send out. You can send as much information in a message as you would like. Based on our experience, we recommend not filling a message with every bit of information about your product, program or service. First, many people look at a message and if it is very long and boring, they will hit the delete button. Secondly, if you have one of our autoresponders you can break your message into numerous followups and keep them brief, upbeat and just highlight a portion of the benefits in each additional message.

Will I be able to customize or personalize my messages?

Yes you will. This is one of the great features of our autoresponder system. You are able to include names and other personalized information both in the subject and the body of your outgoing messages. This is a great way to get your reader's attention and increase your sales.

How many follow-up messages are allowed?

It depends on whether you are using our Free Service or the Deluxe Service. With the Free Service you can setup an initial message and up to five (5) follow-ups. In the Deluxe Service you have an initial message and up to fifty-one (51) follow-ups. Research over the years has indicated that you can increase your sales by sending anywhere from 5 to 10 follow-ups to prospects. What is the maximum number of leads allowed to be imported per day?

Our Deluxe service allows you to import up to 1,000 leads per day with a maximum of 20,000 per month. The free service does not have the import capability.

Will I be able to send messages to my subscriber list?

If you have our Free Service, you do not have that capability. Our Deluxe Service allows you to send email messages to your entire list of subscribers or to select groups of them. It is easily accomplished through your Client Menu.

How do I control the different functions of my autoresponder?

You will have an easy to use Client Menu which you will have access to through your web browser using your user name and password. You will be able to set up your initial message and all your follow-ups and you are able to modify them any time you need to. You will also be able to set the sequence in which each follow-up is sent out. For instance, every 24 hours, every two days, 3 days, five days, etc. In addition, our new Client Menu has the added capability of managing all your autoresponder accounts from one Client Menu. For instance with our Deluxe Service Account you can have up to ten autoresponders and all of them can be managed with one user name and password.

You are able to type your message text directly into your autoresponder through your browser or you can prepare the messages in your test program offline and load them through the cut and paste process through the browser interface.

Will I be able to use HTML in my messages?

How do people request information from my autoresponder?

They can request the information either through a form on your website, or use an email address. For instance if you name your autoresponder "myinfo", then the email address for your autoresponder would be "myinfo@123response.com". You would use that address in your ads and an interested party could just send a blank email to that address to receive the information.

You can also use a form on your webpage for someone to complete and request the autoreaponder information. You will be able to automatically generate the HTML code for your form right from your Client Menu. Then you can just paste it into your webpage.

How can I tell how many people have requested information?

Each time someone joins your list you will receive a notification email that they have joined. You will receive the notification at the email address you entered in our system. In addition, when you login to your Client Menu, you can view your entire mailing list as well as who is active, who has requested to be removed and how many bounces you have had.

What happens when someone asks a question when sending for my information?

As indicated in the prior question above, you will receive a notification email each time someone requests the information from your autoresponder and joins the list. We have configured our autoresponders so that when you receive this notification email it will include any comments or questions that they requester might have. That way, if necessary, you can reply to them.

Can people remove themselves from the list?

The 123Response.com system automatically inserts a removal link at the end of each message you send out, so that anyone on your list can remove themselves from your list at anytime. In addition, you are able to manually remove anyone on the your list through the Client Menu.

Do you charge a set up fee?

No. We do not charge you for setting up your account.

How long does it take to set-up my new account?

Accounts can be set-up in minutes. For our Free Service it is just a matter of going to our Free Service sign-up form, filling it out and your account will be set up immediately. You will then receive an email to confirm your email address. Once you click on the confirmation link, your account will be activated and you can log in and set up your autoresponders. For the Deluxe Service, you go to the order page, complete the payment process and once your payment has been processed, usually less than a minute, you will be directed to the account sign-up form. Once you fill it out and submit it, the process is the same as for the Free account.

Why are there ads included in your Free Service Messages?

There will be up to two ads at the top of each message that goes out with each of the the Free Service messages. This is our fee for furnishing you with the Free Service. You will find that most if not all autoresponder services have some type of advertising in their free service. These ads may be our own ads or a third party ad. We try to make sure that these ads are not intrusive by keeping the number of lines at a minimum. If you would like your messages to be completely ad free our inexpensive Deluxe Service is available.

What about using a 123Response.com autoresponder for SPAM?

Our policy is very simple - We will not tolerate SPAM.

If you are found to be using your account to SPAM, your account will be shut down immediately. Furthermore, under our Terms of Use, anyone sending out SPAM through our autoresponders will bear full liability for any losses which we incur as a result and you could end up in court as a result. We do not tolerate or use SPAM in our business nor does the company we host our service with. SPAM is very simply "Unsolicited Email". If they didn't ask for your information, don't put them into the autoresponder system. If using the optional mailing list feature we do not allow importing of mailing lists that may have been purchased that are strictly SPAM. We also do not allow the use of lists obtained from FFA sites since approximately 50% of these are bad addresses. Click here to review our Terms of Use.

With our new system upgrade we now require that all requestors/subscribers confirm their email address prior to actually being added to your list. When someone requests your information or you enter them in your autoresponder system, they are sent a confirmation email. When they confirm that they have requested the information by clicking on the link in the email, they are then added to your list and receive the first message. If they do not confirm, they are not added to your list. This protects both you and us from potential spam complaints.
